Our story
My husband and I started Obsidian because we were frustrated with the eyewear market. Every brand seemed to force you into a box: sacrifice style for function, pay a fortune for quality, or settle for frames that didn't actually work for your life.
After years of frustration as a customer, we realised the problem wasn't just us. Most eyewear shoppers are forced to choose: style or function. Quality or price. It felt broken, and we knew we weren't alone. So we decided to figure it out ourselves.

Why Obsidian
We named the brand after obsidian rock because we loved natural variation. The formation is never quite the same twice—just like every person's vision, style, and needs are uniquely theirs.
That's why each of our frames is named after elements from nature. Because eyewear should celebrate your individuality, not erase it.
What we are building
Obsidian is our bet that you shouldn't have to compromise. You deserve frames that protect your eyes, look genuinely cool, and cost what they should. No gimmicks. No hidden markups. Just good eyewear, made by someone who actually cares about getting it right.
